What to know before you order
PLA is rigid rather than flexible, so it can snap instead of bending when it's overloaded. It also softens at fairly low temperatures, typically somewhere around 130–140 °F, which is why a PLA part left on a car dashboard in summer can deform.
It isn't a good choice for parts that live outdoors or take repeated impacts. If that's your part, look at PLA+ (a tougher blend), PETG for functional parts, or ASA for sun and weather.

Common questions
Is PLA strong enough for functional parts?
For light-duty parts at room temperature, yes. For parts that get bent, dropped or used near heat, PLA+ or PETG is usually a better fit.
Can I use PLA outdoors?
It's not recommended. PLA softens in heat and isn't UV-resistant. ASA is the outdoor option we offer.
